On the first weekend of November, this year’s Pressalit Sports Academy kicked off under the theme ’Branding and storytelling on social media’.
The Pressalit Sports Academy is a yearly event hosted by Pressalit in collaboration with Parasport Denmark. The Pressalit Sports Academy is an essential part of Pressalit’s sponsorship of Parasport Denmark, and provides an opportunity to zoom in on relevant themes and areas in the preparation for the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
This year’s Academy gathered 80 Danish para-athletes, talents, and coaches for an event of knowledge sharing and learning. The theme of this year’s academy was branding and storytelling on social media with a special focus on:
- The digital foundation: how to use storytelling to connect with fans.
- Distribution and content: Channels available to communicate content.
- The athletes’ digital life: how to use social media as a tool and not a duty
The objective of the 2018 Sports Academy was to provide the athletes with tangible social media knowledge and tools, preparing them for the 2020 Paralympics. Team Danmark sport psychologist, Anders Bendixen, addressed another important aspect of being a professional athlete, namely the psychological importance of coaches and family in supporting the athletes. Pressalit Co-owner Dan Boyter also took part in the academy in order to greet and support the athletes, and to give a presentation.
At Pressalit, we are very proud to support and gather so many talented and inspiring people all working together towards the same goal; Danish medals in Tokyo 2020.
